Dear (My Congressman):
Speaker Pelosi recently stated about the proposed "Slaughter Rule:"

"I like it, because people don't have to vote on the Senate bill."   And you think I'm cynical!

Perfect. Let's subvert the Constitution in order to keep our Party in power. Let's all commit to "a willing suspension of disbelief," as former Senator Clinton once said, in order to pass this century's Volstead Act.

"Deem" this: reconciliation of the Senate bill, the alleged "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," particularly if this Slaughter bit of chicanery is applied, will result in the transformation of this country into a "third world banana republic," complete with a totalitarian Government, and accented by civil rebellion.

How dare this Congress, and this current Adninistration, so blatantly disregard the Constitution? If this Congress and this Administration refuse to accept the rule of Law in their own practices, why on earth should the general public be deemed subject to law?

To call Madame Pelosi a buffoon would insult the integrity, and the intelligence,  of buffoons everywhere.

Dear (My Congressman):
The proposed "Slaughter Rule," up for a floor vote Thursday, will accomplish several things, among them:

It will reveal the depth of depravity which currently infects this Congress;

It will reveal the utter contempt for the Constitution and the American citizens which some elected Representatives hold, and other Representatives abet;

It will reveal which Representatives are honorably serving their constituents, and which are self-serving political opportunists.

It will reveal which Representatives are public servants, and which are unconscionable appeasers.

The entire country will be watching.

Open Letter To Congress

Dear (Congressman):

The proposed "Slaughter Rule," while thought-provoking, is blatantly unconstitutional, a clear violation of Article I, Section 7.  This coy maneuver merely adds to the list of grievances the American People have against this Congress, and against this Administration:

"But when a long Train of abuses and Usurpations pursing invariably the same Object evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security."
The Declaration of Independence still stands, as does the Constitution, as the signal safeguards against tyranny, whether by an individual, or by a select body such as Congress.

Your vote in favor of either the Slaughter Rule OR "reconciliation" of the Senate Healthcare Reform Bill, with the student loan takeover included as "gravy," will be a clear and definite revelation of a disregard for both the founding documents of this nation, as well as against the general will of its people.
This is NOT why you so tenuously hold office. Any vote in favor is a vote directly against the will of the people, and such votes will be rewarded in kind.

Let me get this straight......we're trying to pass a health care plan

written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it,

passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it,

to be signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes,

with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes,

all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese,

and financed by a country that's broke.

Obamacare

Dear Congressman Schrader:
This healthcare "reform" bill is no Cadillac, it is not even an Edsel, it is barely a Yugo, but it is priced like a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow.

Federal medical care "entitlements" are currently 107 TRILLION dollars in the hole, and you want to add 25% MORE recipients? Surely you didn't run your farm nor your practice this way.

Here's a news flash: Billy Mays is dead, but the pitchmen go on and on. We Americans have seen through this cockamamie bill for what it is: a monumental transfer of power to the federal government with negligible benefit to the governed.

Wrong bill, wrong time, wrong reasonings, wrong goals, wrong methods, wrong purposes, wrong costs, wrong bookkeeping, wrong information, wrong promises, wrong services, wrong penalties, wrong threats, wrong for America.

Scrap it.
