Text of the 14th Amendment, in part:
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Dear Congressman Lewis:
Then I want my government-mandated, Constitutionally-guaranteed automobile insurance, homeowner's insurance, a new raincoat, landscaping, liposuction, house painting, new roof, better car (not a Chevy Volt PLEASE!), steaks, a new barbeque, an alarm system, a new travel trailer, a college degree (from anywhere EXCEPT wherever you went), new Nikes, a 60-inch flatscreen with a Blu-Ray player, a new computer with free wi-fi, a vacation home in the Bahamas, and maybe a few perks to help me pursue my "Constitutional rights" to happiness.
I apologize for denigrating buffoons everywhere, but, Mr. Congressman, YOU, sir, are no Dan Quayle.
