Thoughts on Relieving Holiday Stress

1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!
2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker..
5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague
6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it..
7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
8 * Never buy a car you can't push.
9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
10 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
12 * The second mouse gets the cheese.
13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
14 * Birthdays are good for you. They beat the alternative.
15 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

16 * Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
17 * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.
18 * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

*Save the earth..... It's the only planet with chocolate !*

Ahh, Do You Remember These?

Your Government (FEMA) and mine has begun taking bids for construction and maintenance of an interesting new project; the map below shows how the United States is to be sectioned for "Emergency Contingency Projects" in every state within each region.

Well, that sounds harmless enough, doesn't it?  A "Contingency Plan?"  Hey, wait a minute!  What do they mean, "contingency?"  I'm glad you asked.  Well kiddies, our friendly Federal Government wants to, and has begun, the process of building "camps" or "enclosures" in five regions as shown on the map above, to provide "emergency" services to as many as 2,000 thousand people in each enclave.  What could possibly go wrong?
There are bids being let for "barrier fencing," waste water removal, catering, tent construction, "de-lous..." I mean: " petroleum decontamination" services, potable water supply, and all the other ameneties of your average internment camp like the ones in California for Americans of Japanese ancestry following Pearl Harbor.  Have you ever visited an Indian Reservation?  Apart from the casinos, none are on prime real estate, and none are upscale neighborhoods.  Now, I realize that even paranoiacs have real enemies, but this is just too spooky.  First of all, why the need for such large-scale "petroleum decontamination" sites?  Thousands of acres, tens of thousands of tents and barracks, barrier fencing not likely to be white picket, remote locations on Federal land, all for oil spill recovery?  How's that hopey-changey thingy workin' out for ya now?
Does no one recall the benign acts of the National Socialist German Workers Party in 1930's Germany?  They constructed similar "camps" for "de-contamination," too.  Oddly, very few survived said de-lousing or medical treatments at Auschwitz; oh, well, back to the old drawing board, eh, Heinrich?
Or perhaps you prefer the cozy encampments established in the Siberian wilderness by the NKVD in the former Soviet Union: the aptly-named "Gulag Archipelego" of forced-labor/euthenasia sites for political enemies and dissidents?  A different form of "de-contamination?"

You can learn more by asking Bob.siefert@kbr.com , the engineering firm involved.  If I could upload the .pdf to this site, I would.  Check FEMA's website, and break out the Hoppe's kit.

Citizen, your leaders are watching over you, and I mean that sincerly.
