el Presidente Calderon

Felipe Calderon, apparently newly elected to Congress as the US Senator from Mexico, has vilified Arizona's recently-passed compliance with Federal immigration laws as "racist."  Even better, he blames his government's monumental inability to control methamphetamine manufacturing and drug trafficking on the addicts in the USA, concluding somewhat accurately that, in a capitalistic venture such as drug smuggling,  it is the buyer who provides the impetus to the market, so governmental intervention in such a lucrative trade would only serve to weaken Mexico's already faltering societal structure.

Not since "I did not have sex with that woman..." have we heard such a lack of personal integrity and accountability.  Senor Calderon, what are your country's immigration laws?  Are they not much more constrictive than those of the United States?  And why do you not regulate the importation of psuedoephedrine and/or ephedrine, the basal precursors to meth?  I can buy a 55-gallon BARREL of ephedrine in sunny Mexico, sir.  Anyone can. Shiploads arrive daily from India and from our mutual ally, China.  I can purchase a Czech-made fully-automatic assault weapon in Mexico City or in Mazatlan, but not in Boca Raton nor in Montpelier, Denver, San Francisco, nor in any of the 50 United States.  Why is that, sir?  Hundreds of tunnels are dug from your semi-tropical Paradise, underneath a shamefully porous border, into the United States.  Are there truly that many American touristas so anxious to visit Ciudad Juarez, or are you willfully blind to the slave trade your coyotes operate?

Ah, yes, it is the grocers who sell cigarettes who are responsible for the deaths smoking causes, just as it is the oil companies who are responsible for the thousands of automobile deaths each year, and the holster manufacturers who are responsible for the hundreds of gangland assassinations in Mexico each month.  Brilliante!

I appreciate your cojones, Senor Calderon, but I would encourage you to clean up your own house before trashing mine.
