And Now, The News

According to the Portland  Oregonian publication, since one can barely call it a "news" paper, Oregon has run low on sodium thiopental, the "humane" drug-of-choice for state-ordered executions.  Aside from the fact that there are now 34 "guests" on Oregon's "Death Row," ( is it politically correct to call it a "green" mile?)  and the fact that no one since 1997 has been executed, how did the state run low on supplies?  I suppose the addition of  Team Turnidge, the father-and-son cop killers, made us pass the tipping point, which, by the way, not even former mother-of-the-year Diane Downs could accomplish, even after shooting her three children, murdering Cheryl, aged 7. We have to be compassionate, after all.

In semi-related news, Planned Parenthood, it was revealed, received nearly ONE MILLION DOLLARS PER DAY in Federal, State, and Local funding "grants," courtesy of YOU, the taxpayer; and, for your investment, performed a mere 900 abortions PER DAY in Fiscal Year 2008-09.  Statistics from the USDOJ for that same 2008-09 fiscal year indicate an all-time low in rapes reported as a percentage of violent crimes at .06 per cent:  six one-hundreths of a percent.  I surmise the rest of the "procedures" must have been as a result of incest.  Maybe not.  Maybe PP is simply cashing in on a billion-dollar market.  What other elective "medical procedure" is performed without thoroughly explaining the possible consequences and side-effects of the surgery?  A chin lift?  Liposuction?  Hip replacement?  Yet Oregon "surgical centers" ended the lives of 12,920 innocent babies in that same fiscal year.  12,920.  That's the population of Lake and Harney Counties combined.

Oregon does not have any of the major types of abortion restrictions such as waiting
periods, mandated parental involvement or limitations on publicly funded abortions which are often
found in other states:  sort of our own "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

Are we truly so different from Diane Downs, Major Hassan or Gerald Loughner?
