Congress, both House and Senate, continue to solve America's near-bankruptcy by continuing to whip dead horses in order to seem constructive and protect their cush jobs. The Senate is scheduled to vote on a "gay marriage" proposal, while the House wants to force consumers to buy pricey and mercury-laden Compact Fluorescent Lights rather than the tried-and-true and safe Incandescents.
Say, you don't suppose there's anything in that proposal that would benefit the manufacturers and marketers of CFLs, do you? Ask Jeff Immelt of General Electric, or Phillips Electrical CEO Frans van Houten if they may need to import a few million Chinese-made CFLs in order to meet the demand? Probably just a nasty rumor, right?
So, America, "Suck It Up" and "Eat Your Peas" as the "professional politicians" improve your world for you, whether or not you agree.
Or, in 2012, you could throw the bums out, from 1600 Pennsylvania all the way down.
